100% Natural Oil Absorbent

PEAT SORB

Peat Sorb products are made from sphagnum peat moss grown in Northern Canada. They absorb oil spills (hydrocarbons, PCB's) on land and water on contact.
By its absorption action, it can prevent further migration and safely remove the oil, thus it will prevent further environmental pollution and damages. Since absorbed oil is solidified, it is easy to dispose and transport.

Oil Absorbent

Advantages

Completely absorbs oil

Peat Sorb can absorb a full range of oil including mineral oils, animal and plant oil. It encloses them and does not leach. Since it will allow degradation of the absorbed oil inside, it can be left in place with no harm to the environment.

Excellent Absorption Efficiency and Cost Effective

Compared to other similar products on the market, Peat Sorb has a higher absorption capacity and is cost effective.
One (1) kg of Peat Sorb can absorb approximately eight (8) litters of oil. (Only 25 kg of Peat Sorb is needed to absorb 200L-drum-oil.)

Recyclable

Oil saturated Peat Sorb can be recycled as it is when it dries out. If mixed with clay or peat and solidified, it can be sold as canned fuel for leisure. Since it is fuel efficient doesn't emit dioxins.

Easy Disposal

By adding and mixing an appropriate amount of Peat Sorb (fiber) with the oil, greasy oil is soon tranformed into coffee grind appearance. It is packed in a bag or a box for easy transportation. It also prevents the accidents for the crew to slip on the oily places.
